This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Less of an artist, more an artisan with unrealistic expectations.

Let It Snow Let It Snow....

Okaaay, following on from my last entry.....
I have forgiven our normally lousy weather since it has snowed decently, and remained so far. Driving, particularly in the evenings when things have frozen, has been, hmm, interesting at times but very enjoyable - I like a little challenge, and it seems to be discouraging the incompetents from venturing out but also slowing everyone else down. There's a lot more respect being shown on the roads, and not before time. It also made Christmas shopping in Edinburgh city centre much more pleasant since most folk appeared to be avoiding the place and hitting the out-of-town venues (which were chaotic as usual). I even had an opportunity to take some photos while in town - something I rarely manage. I just wish I'd been able to take my proper camera. But I did get to wear proper boots to do it....
I've also had an excellent Christmas, for a number of reasons including the snow, but mostly because of not just one, but two very special people - you know who you are, and hopefully also know how much it means to me.
I'm now quite looking forward to the new year - the whole year, not so much the event. The optimism I'm feeling about it right now is a little unusual for me, so here's hoping it's justified, but I have a good feeling about things. And the days are getting longer again - that always makes a difference to how I feel, even though it won't be noticeable for a while yet.
If I'm really lucky, I may find time for some snowscapes (or plain old landscapes) while I'm on holiday - that really would be the cherry on top if it happens, so I'm not so bothered if it doesn't work out.
Thanks. I've just had a look at your gallery and noticed that pretty much all your photos have darkened corners. Is this a deliberate processing effect or just the lenses you use? I quite like the way it defines the image area although I wouldn't want to overuse it.
